PENSION REFORM AS A LEVER FOR THE COUNTRYS ENERGY DEVELOPMENT

Summary 

Given the standard of living and budgetary interests of the country's population, the study focuses on the specifics of the pension reform launched in Georgia and the effective use of funds mobilized in the pension agency.

After reviewing the definitions of taxes in international organizations, academic circles and a number of legislative acts, an opinion has been presented on the controversial nature of imposing a pension contribution obligation on employers.

Based on the legal framework regulating the activities of the Pension Agency and the analysis of the financial results of the Agency's activities, an opinion is offered on the improvement of the investment activities of the Agency.

Based on the analysis of the statistical data of the country's energy system, in order to ensure the growth of the financial assets of the Energy Generation and Pension Agency, an opinion is presented on investing the financial assets mobilized at the disposal of the Agency in new hydropower facilities.
